This is series of recorded podcasts and talks taking place throughout the year.
A Worker's Art Market Audio Tour takes a trip through the wider ecology of London’s artworld, following the contribution of numerous, anonymous (value-adding) workers along the route. Anecdotes from artists, as makers of art and in their day jobs, builds a snapshot of the commercial art world as the tour traces the path of a fictional artwork through Vauxhall, an area with a rich industrial history and a surprising amount of art market activity to a wide range of places that impact and inform the creative process.
The tour is written and produced by Invigilator Research Network’s Eve Marguerite and Simon Farid, who use their backgrounds as artists, design historians and as gallery invigilators to chart a physical and economic path through the commercial artworld.
